Early Vietnam Era (1960s) Chinese Type 56 SKS Rifles 7.62x39cal. These rifles were banned from importation by the Clinton Administration in the early 1990s, however, this shipment of early production rifles was granted an exception for import since they were stored more than 20 years outside China. During the 1980s-1990s millions of Chinese SKS rifles were imported into the US for commercial sales. Rarely did we see SKS rifle shipments made in the early to mid 1960s from the famous "Factory 26" Jianshe Arsenal, which make these C&R Eligible! What to expect?: Grade 1 Rifle condition is from the best 50% of our shipment and MOST external serialized parts match the receiver. These used surplus rifles are more than 50 years old and are packed in heavy cosmoline for storage purposes. Early production rifles feature threaded barrels, spike bayonets, chrome lined barrels and we should mention again, a lot of grease. So, take great care in cleaning and evaluating before firing. Rifles being offered for sale currently are equipped with a cleaning rod. from AIM Surplus (Product F3CSKSHS)
