Comment: I bought 500 rds a week or two ago to try at the 5.29 price. It shoots okay enough that I went back today and got more at the 6.29 price. It is a little dirty, but not so much as to cause problems for me.

Comment: Academy is following suit with other ammo retailers and raised their price from $5.29 /box to $6.29 /box. I don't feel nearly as good about the deal at the new price vs. the quality of the ammo.

Comment: 1. Value vs dollar this is a deal! 2. ammo is dirty dirty dirty. 3. ammo is magnetic (not allowed at indoor ranges with certain backstops). Be prepared. 4. Monarch Green box fmj and brown box soft point is about 3 dollars more, 'cleaner' and brass. fmj is not magnetic. 5. been to Academy 3 times in last week and always sold out of this. Only green box fmj monarch is on shelf. I bought all 30 boxes today.

Wolf contracts with several different ammunition makers to make ammo, which is then sold under the Wolf brand. .22LR ammo, for example, is actually made in Germany. Some of the most well-known ammunition manufacturers in Russia include Tula, Barnaul, Ulyanovsk and Klimovsk.
